When I first found out I was pregnant, I thought it was the end of the world. I knew people would judge me because I was going to be a teen mom. A lot of people, even family, doubted me and told me I ruined my life. And they told me that I was going to be no one in my life. My pregnancy got harder because I had support form nobody. My mom was mad because I made the choice of keeping my baby. My daughter's dad left me and wanted nothing to of with me or our baby. I was so alone. I didn't know what to do. Until I came across a program, A program called Teen Success.
I found out about it though a lady at my school when I was getting my transcripts. I signed up and I now have been with Teen Success for 70 weeks. I love this program so much, THe facilitators are nice and they understand me. Teen Success showed me that I wasn't alone and I can always count on them to listen and give me advice. Thanks to Teen Success, I see life a lot different. I thank them for guiding me the right way. My daughter is 16 months, and her dad is currently incarcerated but will be home soon. I am a proud mother and I will change anything about my life. I got to school for medical assistant, am in a GED program and I have a part time job. My goals are to become a nurse, have a home, a car and for my daughter to be healthy and happy. :)
...when you help a teen mom you are changing not just one life, you are changing two.
We hope you will join us and meet the inspirational teen mothers we work with.
